That is correct. It is slang for the "50" in "1950". My teenage children have also informed me that the rapper 50 Cent is also referred to as fiddy. So I have my fiddy and they have their fiddy. :rofl:

I always assumed that it has some thing to do with the 50 and the American abuse of the English language ;)

Well, since we don't speak the "Queens English".. it derives from the Hip Hop culture(that was started in the 70's in New York, by a Jamaican D-Jay...the rapping part) that abuses "American English".. it's our own since that * 4th of July incident* :victory:
