GMT Master-II Ceramic

I've been looking at the new genuine GMT Master-II and I've noticed it's basically the same design as the fantasy GMT-LV but with a new bezel.

Am I going mad as I'm considering hunting a bezel and fitting it on my old greenie?

1. Good luck finding a genuine ceramic bezel insert. Hen's tooth in a needle-filled haystack, to mix my metaphors

2. Even if you do, the 11670LN (ceramic GMTII in SS) uses a different size case to its predecessor, thicker and although not officially confirmed, having seen it in the flesh, slightly larger (check out those lugs). I doubt the bezel is the same diameter and like using the gen inserts on the GMT rep, it will also need some grinding down in thickness. Good luck with that on ceramic.

3. Notice some of the details may differ from the old 'fantasy' rep - namely the Triplock crown, black datefont (some reps had green), and Daytona bracelet.

It's a pain I know, you're so close but yet so far. Maybe wait until the new version with rep insert is out, you may have better luck getting the insert alone?

Pug, as an interim (I'm assuming your 'greenie' is for play rather than serious modding), you could always try one of your preferred dealers to see if they can get you this rep insert with correct fonts? Sure it's metal but at least you know it will fit.
