The DW hands for the DW movement look pretty good, but they are a completely different gauge than VJ72 hands. They are not interchangeable.

I think that would be a correct assumption, yes. Keep in mind, when dealing with DW, that he can supply hands for both Valjoux movements, and his own copies. You just have to specify what you want.
