You know, I tried that recently and actually liked it . . . until I looked closer and noticed the 'trademark' MBW sense of humor . . . "Polex"

I have long been curious about that.

Was there ever a Rolex that had this misspelling - that's sure hard to believe, but why on earth would company that goes to such great lengths toward perfection put a big, red, flashing neon "FAKE" sign on their product?

Very confusing.

Very confusing.

Certainly to avoid that confusion, without those big intentional flaws how many can tell the difference beween a mbw case and a genuine one?

Every "perfect" Rolex rep has it's tradeoffs. Polex on MBW means no leather strap. To get good sized case and asymetric pushers on vintage Daytonas, you lose the hour dial of the chrono. The trials and tribulations of reps. :D
