Hi all,

I changed the datewheel on my Breitling Navitimer Serie Special. While reinstall the hands I made made some little scratches on the chrome part of the hands. Is it possible to remove those scratches on the chrome??

Thnx you guys

Doing anything with small chrono hands requires a bit of ingenuity. I usually grasp them with tweezers or between my thumb and index finger (depending on the job at hand). To remove scratches, (while wearing a loupe) I would hold the hand between your fingers and rub it across a Cape Cod cloth. To be honest, I cannot imagine how anyone would be able to see a scratch on a chrono hand (unless it is painted a contrasting color to the underlying metal), especially through the lens of a watch. If the Cap Cod cloth does not produce the required result, try painting it (the hand, not the cloth).
