Brucelles
This is my wife's gen Jaeger LeCoultre Albatros bracelet pin. My dog broke the one next to it and I need a replacement. I asked at the local JLC AD and was told "About 400 Euros and 3 to 4 months". Well, I can't wait 4 months and I resent spending nearly $600 on 12 mm of steel. Does anyone have any idea where I can get a pin like this one? There's a close-up below, for scale and details. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Offshore Thanks, but I'm looking for a double ended screw pin. i.e. the pin is 12mm long and has a screw in either end making it 13mm in total. There's nothing in those lists like that. Those parts are usually custom made for that particular bracelet, so you are unlikely to find them as an off-the-shelf part. Are you sure the price JLC quoted is just for the part, or could that be the charge to have them repair the bracelet? I would try some other JLC dealers who have in-house watchmakers. They would be your best source (other than JLC) for parts.
Brucelles
Thanks for the advice freddy333. I'll call the JLC boutique in London to see if they have a clue. The quote I got was an 'estimate' from a JLC AD in Brussels for shipping, insurance, repair, checking and return. They won't accept it without doing a service, which is a bit pointless as it was done about 6 months ago. Also, the time is an issue, I will be moving to Tanzania in the new year and I don't want a valuable watch sent via the mail to anywhere like that.
