rodwc
My first rep arrived today ( 8 days ) It was ordered from the scam site exactreplicas.com This was 10 days ago , before I found RWG. I knew nothing about rep watches and how to compare them with gen. O.K. here goes. It wasnt the one I ordered, I ordered a serie special. The hour hand is slightly mis-alligned. No "swiss made" below bottom sub, ( though I dont know if this model had it ) Crown doesnt screw down , just pushes in . Pins in bracelet not screws. Stamping on clasp fairly light. Seconds hand doesnt sweep smoothly, this sweeps in 1 second intervals. No AR. ( though I didnt expect any ) It did cross my mind that this was a quartz movement ( no manual wind ??????) Im not going to complain, or send it back, ( they wont get anymore custom from me ). Every time I wear or look at this watch, will remind me , how I nearly lost my money. To be honest , I didnt really expect to receive a watch (any watch ). I actually quite like it , though it isnt a good rep. Pics. below. tazzman
I also have a bad rep, a Breitling 6.75 with brown dial. Real beauty.. even though it has faux chrono (webpage told it was working) and Switzerland is spelled Swilzerland on the back. Anyhow, this was one of my first rep and therefor I love it =) But thanks to RWG I get what I order now and that feels much better! /M
Emmzy
I'm a big Navitimer fan, so good choice of watch! Yours is an obvious quartz movement , hence the one second ticks. If you would like to buy a mechanical Navi take alook at the offerings from the trusted dealers here. They will most probably offer you a SS strap with screws or the excellent deployant leather strap. Expect to pay around 240 -250 USD.....Ruby has some great examples and has a fantastic reputation around here. I'm going to give myself a Christmas present from Ruby....a white face Two Tone Navitimer on a brown leather strap. Good luck!
Emmzy
....and another thing, the crown on a Navitimer doesn't screw in. Also it's normal to stop the chrono in normal use. The large seconds hand is the chrono second counter. The running seconds hand is the small one found at 9 o'clock on your watch. Park the large hand at 12 and synchronise your watch using the small hand. Very difficult to notice that your watch is a quartz at a distance if you do this.....it'll keep terrific time though! chrgod
Not the worst quartz-Navitimer replica I have seen.. This is the more accurate 7750-version replica of your watch. Mechanical chronograph. :
Guest watchbuff
I got a rep Navitimer TT 50th anniversary from a dealer on Ioffer and paid around $45.00. Yes, it's a quartz movement, but the date font is good and it is not recessed darewheel/ The chronos all work, and the swepend second chrono hand stops at exactly 12:00. Decent subdials too. Keeps great time and never needed a battery in 3 years. I was thinking of selling it but somehow I'm attached to it.
