Is this a genuine Daytona Dial?

Hi can anyone tell from the pics?

I can't really tell from the pictures, but it looks proper, and very nice. Does it have a vintage patina?

If this is for sale, the asking price could indicate the authenticity. A original dial in this condition would probably go for more than $2000. A nicely refinished Singer dial would be $200-$500. And a nice, non-Singer dial would be $100-$200.

Hi James,

Based on the photos, the dial looks to be potentially refinished. There are a few small details that lead me to suspect this.

Of course, it's not possible to really confirm without some clear high res pics!

I've been staring at this dial a little longer. The red "Daytona" print seem a little too thick, and the subdial's almost look a little too big (see how close the markers - particularly the 10 and 2 - come to the subs). So I'm thinking refinished as well (Frankly, I think "refinished" whenever I see a nice Daytona dial).

It's still very nice.

Good eye Avitt! Those were among the first inaccuracies to pop out at me. The subdial size being the biggest eye catcher.

In addition- The 'COSMOGRAPH' font looks incorrect to me as well. The font for this should be smaller in height, spread across wider, and crisper in print.
