kye_lin
Hi.. Looking to get a PAM sub to mod... interested in the 87, 243 and 239... Just need some advice on the glaring faults in them.. For the 87.. are the 8 and 10 markers fixed or still crooked? For the 243.. is the He valve correct? For the 239.. it should be L SWISS L and not T SWISS T... right?? ANything else?? Any other PAM subs good to mod?? Thanks for all the advice... Kai
i5475p
I am also curious about the current sub situation. What is available out there currently? Im interested in the ones above compared to Andrews PAM 92 ,PAM 243, PAM 186 (Arktos) and PAM 252 ( North Pole) I hear the 186, 252 are discontinued. What is a good high quality sub (44mm) out there right now?

i5475p
So any new advice on the subs out there? I think the 243 and the 92 have been around a while but may be the highest quality sub reps. I dont think these have upgraded date mags and fonts though correct? these are nothing close to the 186/252 projects right?
deltatahoe
i hate to break it to you i5475p, but the best way to get the answers you're looking for is to take some time & read some old threads about the watches you're talking about. people discuss new watches in detail when they come out; you'll find your answers there. fwiw, from my recollection, the 092 has very respectable (ie. as good as it's going to get on a rep) date mags & fonts. i'm not familiar with the date mag & fonts on the 243. it's pretty common knowledge that the 092 is said to have a sub-par crown guard. however, don't take my word for it. do a search for pictures of people's ultimate 092 & 243s (making sure what mods if any have been done), and judge for yourself. cheers deltatahoe
HammerTime
Try a PAM 087 with a steel bracelet for a different look (like mine below. Note correct thick crown and bezel alignment). I just received a PAM 252 with the correct dark blue dial color and smaller more GEN like GMT hand.
