thecrow Posted January 9, 2008 Report Share Posted January 9, 2008 Ok, I got a Breitling for Bentley in the mail today and I am trying to resize the bracelet. I unscrewed two of the screws and the links should just pull apart, right? Well, they will not budge at all, I tried another link and same thing. I was going to try the other two links with screws on them but when i try to unscrew them they just spin.....the other side (nonscrew side) just spins. Anyway, why the hell won't the links just pull apart after the screws are out. Any suggestions? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
thecrow Posted January 9, 2008 Author Report Share Posted January 9, 2008 Wow, this is crazy, I just bent my small screw driver trying to pry this loose......my blood pressure is soo high right now.....this should be so easy and for some reason it just won't come loose. thecrow Posted January 9, 2008 Author Report Share Posted January 9, 2008 Tried that, It just won't budge.....really strange.....I'm putting it in an ultrasonic bath right now to clean it up and maybe that will loosen things up. P4GTR Posted January 9, 2008 Report Share Posted January 9, 2008 assuming its a stainless steel bracelet with no plating, I suggest you try some break-free or wd40. spray it on and let it soak in a little bit. Work the oil into the links with your hand. Hopefully that will aid in getting it apart, then you can wash the oils off and reassemble. Good luck.
