Putting bracelet on Daytona w/ strap?

I have a Daytona I purchased from Andrew/Josh and it came with a leather alligator strap. I'd like to put it on a bracelet but when I took the strap off, I noticed the head has two extra shelf like parts that won't allow the bracelet to go on. Did they make these watch heads specific to the strap they sold them with? If not, is there an easy way to remove these and put on the bracelet?

i think you can remove them but i am not sure how.. there must be some screws or springbar or sth holding it in place, it cant be a case part.

Anyway, if you manage to take them out i am interested in buying them along with the strap and clasp for my datejust.
