bwhitesox
Compared to the first version yes it is slightly better but compared to the AR coating services on this board it doesn't even rate. I don't think the rep is real AR coating but some sort of stick on material to simulate AR but that is just my opinion. Nice watch though!! kingkitesurf
Well I got mine from Josh and it definitely has double AR. Pretty well done... held against the light it gives a blue glass.. at some angles it looks like there is no glass on it.

Yes, I too have seen the new 3717 AR and it's better. No, it doesn't hold a candle to the coating I use. I've stripped one double AR coated 3717 crystal, and it was moderately durable. Strangely the most durable rep coating I've ever seen was a the old 3717 single AR from a slow beat A7750... That coating took a combined hour to strip between The Zigmeister and I. Pugwash
If the new 3717 AR is the same as on the Top Gun, it's more blue dye than AR. It does have AR properties, but it's nowhere near as good as the after-market stuff our pair of AR jockeys supply.

milwaukee
As long as we are talking about the updated 3717... I have heard that the datewheels are better than the older version too. Can anybody confirm that?
