F15DOC Posted February 18, 2008 Report Share Posted February 18, 2008 OK gang, I have never opened up a watch or changed anything before, but I hate this movement in my SFSO. I think it must be the cheap asian because it gains minutes every day. How difficult and how much would it cost for me to pick up a nice movement and change it out? If it was below $200,- it was probably an asian... around $250 or above swiss... if you bought it new from a dealer. So a little bit more specific info would be handy. If it has an asian movement you can't just change for a swiss movement. There's so much more to just changing the movement... An asian movement doens't have to be bad... i have some quite old asian movements that run great. Maybe it just needs some adjustment if it runs too fast/slow.
