I am impressed by DSN's new 104... any info if there is any available? DSN won't answer my email sent yesterday. :(

Gianton, I'm waiting for my DSN104 delivery early May (delivery via friend in Beijing), will post pictures along my impression of the thing over here. DSN is not great on communication, but, hopefully, should catch up on the quality.

AFAIK, DSN is not always immediate in his replies, especially on weekend time. Maybe you'll get your reply on monday (late monday, in EU).

Also, he said he was having problems with email. Did you use his alternative davidsenjpn@gmail.com ?

To me, this 104 is the best 104 rep so far.

Dial: above 99%. Two only minor flaws, the length of the mark @ 9hr and yes, the spacing between swiss and made.

The lume is not green like usual DSN's lume, it looks very close to the gen.

Even the "A"s look pretty correct!

Shame on the crown as usual. An easy fix anyway.

Hi Surfer,

How about the AR, is DSN's use single or double AR? Currently I'm planning to buy my first ultimate rep, I like 112 but seems the swan neck movement is no longer available so I think I'll go for 104. So far I think I'll take DSN's after reading these threads.

How to fix the crown? where can I get the ultimate crown to replace?

And for the CG's lever, it seems brushed in gen, I find this picture in paneristi: http://www.paneristi.com/reference/vendome...n_pam_104_3.jpg

can polished stainless changed to brushed?

Regards,

Peter

@ petergunny:

DSN AR is single side like the gen.

Member Pam used to sell improved crowns -- originally "palpatine's (palp's) crowns".

Besides of that, OEM crowns are occasionally offered on eBay.

Both may require replacing or trimming the crown tube, though. I have no DSN case to try it, but I am currently waiting for a sample from DSN to test.

Surely the gen lever is brushed. And I did not notice that DSN's is polished. Thanks for pointing it out!

Brushing a lever is a very easy task with a brushing pen than can be found on eBay. I remember that "The Watch Boys" used to sell it -- as several other sellers too that I can't remember right now.

@ gianton:

Congrats on your purchase!

Very interested in your opinion and pics once you'll get the watch.

Thanx sssurfer! I'll start to search it here n on ebay.

Btw, I feel that font "LUMINOR MARINA" & "PANERAI Automatic" on DSN seems too thin compared to gen, on gen seems more fat/thick, I don't know if its only my feelings or what. But combining all factors mentioned in this thread, DSN's is still the best option for 104.
