Niclas
I am seriously considering the Pilot PVD Doppel Chronograph. This is a franken watch: wrong size (42 instead of 44 mm), not ceramic case (PVD) and a faux pusher. Still it is a nice watch. I really like the date and the black case. If you have this watch, what is your opinion? What are the reason not to buy it? Seadweller4000
Whew, my heart stopped for a second when I read the words "Doppel", "ceramic" and "Franken" together in one sentence... Good luck with your search!
mike1975
@seadweller4000 - mine too. I would be glad having this one perfectly made. PVD instead of ceramic would be ok. maybe one day. but i think the "doppel" is the main problem to copy
Niclas
I was thinking about about buying a gen and the one I really want is the IWC Ceramic Doppelchronograph Ref. 3786. It is a sold out limited edition that cost around euro 10.000 in the second hand market. Out of the question, of course. I already have the 3717 but with a black case it is a different watch. Also notice the enhanced cockpit design regarding the date window and in the way the chronograph dials are set up (more noticable on the gen). The 3717 looks great on a nato. I have already bought a 22 mm black Maratac four ring zulu with low lite hardware that will be great on the franken doppel. Are there more pictures of this watch? Wrist shots? Niclas
Here is a wrist shot of the gen: and the rep for comparison (picture from Andrew): I would really like to see a wrist shot of the rep.
