DAYAIR1
First let me say that I am not new to Pam reps. I own a 005, 177h, 112, and now a 111h. I received the modded 111h about three weeks ago from TWP, who won't return any of my e-mails, so I am turning to members who are far more knowledgeable than me. Note; the other Pams I own have swiss movement. The 111h has Asian movement, and when I fully wind it, it only works for about 4 to 6 hours. I am sure this is not normal, but is there anything I can do to fix it? Thank you ahead of time for your input. t
more info please. stopp it at the same time? run it again when you wind it? run it again when you shake it? run it again for 5 hours? Or only for few minutes?
DAYAIR1
1. no, does not stop at the same time. 2. Yes, it will start working again after I wind it. 3.Shaking it doesn't seem to do anything. 4.Every time I wind it, it runs for another 4 to 6 hours. I haven't wore it for a couple of weeks, because it was frustrating me. But I will wear it the next couple of days. And try to get a more accurate evaluation. Thanks again
POTR
A 'perfect' break in the mainspring?
bwhitesox
The Zigmeister would be able to tell you for sure but I'm with POTR on this one.
anton
Rob, you took the words out of my mouth. The mainspring could be dirty or broken. Hopefully it is dirty.
DAYAIR1
Thank you all. I hope TWP will eventually respond back to my e-mails. And either fix the watch, or replace it. Since the watch is only three weeks old. DDAY
RWG Technical
Just to confirm, your winding it fully until you can't possibly wind or turn the crown anymore? If the answer is "yes", then the mainspring can't be broken, or it would never stop winding. If it's keeping good time, it sounds as if the movement is ok, but it could be as simple as the hour hand touching the dial face, I have seen this a lot on some watches from certain modder/dealers, this adds resistance which can stop the watch from running down completely. Or there could be another problem, maybe a dirty movement, but normally a dirty movement runs fast, not only for a few hours. My guess, is a hand touching something...or the case clamps installed incorrectly (have seen this a lot as well) and putting to much pressure on the movement jamming it up. Also note how many turns of the crown are needed for a full wind, compare this to your other hand winds...same amount of turns to wind, or only a few turns before it stops winding...more info will help... DAYAIR1
The Zigmeisterzumba; I think you are right. It FULLY winds (will not wind further) with much less turns than my other PAMS. Since this is my first asian movement, I wasn't sure if this was normal! If what you are saying is true. What is the fix? I am not sure if "Prince" is ever going to e-mail me back! RWG Technical
Understood... Then the fix is to have a watchsmith or yourself (if you're capable) look at the watch and find out what the problem is, and fix it. RG
DAYAIR1
Thanks The Zigmeisterzumba; I definitely need to send it to someone for repair. Now it doesn't work at all !! And from what I have read on TWP's review section, he is not going to honor the warranty, or fix it. From what I understand, you are watchsmith, correct? Would you be willing to take a look at it, and do the repairs? Or can you recommend someone? Thank You.
