musicale
The bezel on my SMP bond has been aligned properly so that the pearl lines up with the 12-o'clock hour marker on the dial perfectly. Unfortunately, it is misaligned at the 6-o'clock marker (the dot above the "30" on the bezel insert lines up with the outside left edge of the 6-o'clock hour marker). Does this mean that my dial is misaligned, and the dial and the whole movement are slightly to the right of where they should be? Can this be fixed easily? #ars
I've bought the same watch a few weeks ago and this is a known "problem". There are a few instructions on how to correct the misalignment, but I have to say, that the first method I've tried, did not work - so I accepted the thing as it is. Now I'm just turning the bezel into the most correct position, even if it's not engaging/locking into the engage-mechanism. One thing you can try in order to fix this up is a method, described in that thread: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=4509 I've tried that, but couldn't get the bezel out of it's position by using my fingernails - maybe I wasn't using enough force, but I don't wanted to damage anything. f5mando
This is a risk folks run when buying a rep item, rather than the gen... True - so I (just recently) got myself a new-old-stock SMP gen. Yowzah! What more can I say?
