I read somewhere that a ETA 2893-2 GMT can be fitted into my Pam 029.

COuld someone please confirm and guide me to a seller?

Thx

can't help with fit - if you find a 2893-2 I would love to know the source as I have been having trouble finding one for myself

If I'm not mistaken the first link shows a 2893-3 which wouldn't work for the PAM GMT. 2893-3 use a GMT wheel on the dial instead of a GMT hand. I think an example of this would be the Hamilton Navy GMT if you want to see what I mean. The movement that you'll want is the 2893-2 which does use a GMT hand. There are actually a couple lower to mid priced gens out there that you can find on the used market and use as donor watches. You'll just need to do a little research to find out which ones use the 2893-2. Some of them popup on TZ or the bay from time to time.

Both of those sources have sold out of this movement...I got mine from ebay and is really your best bet.

Expect to pay between $300-$400 for this.

Good luck as the 29 is a worthy watch for this transplant...Remember you then need a different sized GMT hand for the 2893-2 movement.
