Bender222 Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 I have never owned a chronograph watch before but whenever i use the chronograph functions it start/stop/resets the main second hand while the subdial second hand just continues. I dont think that is supposed to happen but I may be wrong. I was under the impression that all of the chronographic functions are carried out on the subdial leaving the bigger main hands constant. Is this something i can Fix b taking it to a jeweler and asking about it or do I need to send this back to china?
Corgi Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 (edited) The chrono watch has a small running seconds subdial that always runs (BCE location at 9:00). The large chrono seconds moves only when chrono pusher is activated. Some watches have it opposite - the large seconds hand is used for time telling and small one for chrono - but not here. At 3:00 into this film you are given a video of how your BCE should operate: edit for youtoob Edited April 22, 2008 by Corgi
andreww Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 Thats the way it should work. 9:00 subdial is the seconds hand and should constantly run
Sir-Lancelot Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 The small seconds will always run and never reset it is to tell time. The BIG hand is the chrono seconds.

LordRasta Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 Post a pic of your BCE, and leave the chronos alone. Unless you're timing 40yd dashes you don't need them.

guanaco Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 Or timing your farts. The possibilities are endless!
