This has been posted many times it has done wonders for the sale of rep Hublot and the newer models now address most of the problems. It's difficult for Hublot as the real item is not that much better than the rep and no more technically advanced. The kind of person that spends that amount on a watch that has little history when compared to Rolex/IWC etc... won't let the possbility of getting a rep for 10% of the price affect their purchase. Even I decided against paying $400 for the rose gold rep version. It's just a fad watch that got some attention because it somehow slipped through the cracks and some drunken judges at Basel awarded it with a prize - maybe in an effort to be comically ironic.
