vric
When I looked to do the TimeZone watch course, I saw it was possible to do with with a 6497 movement. I imidiatly started to look if it would be possible to turn this course into a Panerai watch. After 4 disassembly, one full service, few bad luck, I finished my project yesterday night. I'm really happy with the result and learn a lot from this project. Even if PAM purist will say it's inaccurate, not perfect, wrong movement etc.. I don't care, I did it the way I wanted it to look and I used the swiss 6497 I had around ;p Most of the parts are from DVN (Case, Crystal with double AR, good lume, hands) and the Strap is a Bob Vertigo. Let me know what you think Now, I will see what I will do with the Chinese 6497 and ETA 2436 I have here Edited May 15, 2008 by vric
Sir-Lancelot
I think it looks good vric. I have been thinking about taking the TZ class too. I have a few movements that I could play around with. I think it would be good to know how to take one apart and service it, even if I only do it once.
TeeJay
I think it's awesome Even more so, because it is precicely how you want it to be Out of curiousity, is the buckle 24mm? If so, where did you acquire it?
