Tom Hawkes Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 Well, the engraving on the movement is pretty thick, the swiss made is pretty high and the bars on the A's are pretty low..
StormTooper4 Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 Tough call The caseback looks pretty good , cant see the numbers though? But the movement engraving looks Too big. Could the L Swiss Made L be too wide? Gen to compare to. Really Hard to tell, our Reps are just to good these days
Watchmeister Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 I say rep but can't say for sure. Certainly not one I would buy though. Funny how the hour hand covers the first A. Crown appears further than the norm of the case, Officine Panerai looks too big on movement, etc. Can anyone see whether that dagger is a dagger? Could be a first gen CDG swiss movement.
takashi Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 it's a rep. H series of 1000 instead of 800. It has even 0117 serial number, same as rep. Yes, engraving of Officine Panerai on the movement is being covered too (unlike the gen).
scoobs1971 Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 Looks like a rep to me: - font too big - L Swiss L too close to the 6 - wrong shape of 3, 6 and 2 for H-series - probably Swiss(like) movement
Matte Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 Rep ! The crown also isn't too tick, and the display back screams: REP!
klocklind1 Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 I think it a rep because of the novodiac shckabsorber that NO genuine have AND the text on the movement is way to thick so it is definitley a replica!!!!
