Old Family ladies watches: a Jaeger Le Coultre

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I'm not sure I ever post some of these photos.

My sister and I are keeping these watches as a souvenir from our Mother and Grand Mother who passed away.

Among them is a Jaeger Le Coultre Joaillerie that we've been told is platinium.

Of course, it still runs perfectly after 50 years :thumbsupsmileyanim:

I thought it was nice to post it here :)

NICE!!!!... real diamonds? Better have that baby taxated and insured!

I hope they are real.

I wouldn't want to discover that my father offered a rep JLC from Trusty to my mother to celebrate my birth :o

Hmmm, wait, trusty didn't exist in the 60ies

Well, I'm not sure Gigantic is the right word as the watch is pretty small.

It's at my sister's place so I cannot make a side by side with one of our watches, but I'll try to remember it for the next time I go there.

Also bear in mind: old diamonds doesn't have any value compared to the new ones due to the way the stones were cut in those times.
