LordRasta
I may see another Triple Crown winner in my lifetime. Since I was 11 last time it happened I don't recall it.
Toadtorrent
Yup...when only a couple horses show up for the challenge based on your killing in the previous race...you're in a pretty good position!!
SubFrog
Affirmed, in 1978, still remains the last Triple Crown winner. That was an awesome race today. When he turned the back corner and took off like a bullet...that was amazing. Every year, we have a triple crown party on the day of the Belmont. But, it's been a LONG time since we've seen the Triple Crown...I was 10. We're having it again...and maybe THIS will be the year. Mint Juleps for everyone! POTR
Being a KY boy, I remember three so far in my lifetime... '73 Secretariat '77 Seattle Slew '78 Affirmed And thirteen near misses... Time for a new Triple. And a new Brilliant/Classic Chefs-de-Race... And Toad... those guys sat out not because they weren't gonna win, but because they are hoping to gain their own notoriety (and value @ stud) as spoiler for BB, by racing @ Belmont "rested." The burst this horse has at the end is just ridiculous. A triple crown seems a foregone conclusion!!

Makes sense...KY boys would know for sure.
