peepshow Posted May 25, 2008 Report Share Posted May 25, 2008 The canon pin is the metal post in the center of the watch that the hour and minutes hands mount to. The standard ETA pin is too short for use with PAM reps, this leaves the top of the pin sunken below the level of the top of the hands. When you upgrade to the long/H3 ETA canon pin, it's tall enough so that the top of the pin is flush with the top of the hands, as it should be.
