sssurfer
Good news to those who wanted to get rid of the quick date change pusher on the PAM 090 - 124 - 222 (Kruzer, Ajoesmith, etc: enjoy!) Finally found a case that accepts the ST2530 movement with perfect aligment of the stem with the crown tube, so that it can be used to replace the original case. It's the DSN case of his new auto models: 104, 229, & Co. Also the dial that I tested was a perfect fit into that case. The spacer ring was a good fit as well. Unfortunately the DSN crystal needs to get replaced, as the ST2530 has its date window placed more sideways (closer to the crystal border) than any 7750 based PAM reps like the 104. Changing only the cyclops' placement on the DSN crystal is impossible as it is a recessed cyclops. Edited June 11, 2008 by sssurfer
frankt
It's good that somebody found a GOOD use for those cases, since Dsn certainly hasn't lately!! ;)

Watchmeister
Thanks for the tip. Can you use existing crystal from 222?
sssurfer
Can you use existing crystal from 222? I would bet so, as DSN crystals are 35.50mm diameter and the crystal of my ST2530 PAM is 35.45mm. 0.05 mm difference should be small enough to get compensated by the crystal's teflon gasket. In the worst case, you can get a standard, non-cyclopsed DSN crystal and put the 090 cyclops on it -- hoping that the new case rehaut is not so different to give different magnification from that same cyclops. If it is, you can always replace the cyclops with a weaker or stronger one, as needed. Please consider that I just verified the fit into the case (stem aligment, dial, etc), I did not try swapping the crystals yet. So everything I said here is just my guess. No experience for real about it yet. But I think it's worth a try. Edited June 13, 2008 by sssurfer
