Found a nice Movado 'Pilot' Chrono with Zenith movement!

When I first saw this watch it was just a black glob. Should have taken a picture right away. But here are the parts after I cleaned the case and still a little gunk on some parts. Looked like it came from a tarpit.

I will post some pics when its ready!

Added 6/12: This is the movement after being cleaned and lubed. I am surprised it ticks at 36k, I had thought the 17 jewel one would be slower?

Does anyone know about this? Beat rates of differnt Zenith movements?

And look at the straight line on my tester without even adjusting...

Good deal. Ubi, I believe, used a Zenith out of a Movado for one of his Daytona frankens.

Yessir, B. You are correct. My first Daytona used a NOS Ebel 134 (aka EP400):

And my second used an older Zenith 3019 31j:

The 3019 was scavenged from an older Movado Sub Sea; much like SurPur's, my donor's case was quite nasty as well. The gasket sealing the caseback had been present for a very long time and was breaking down into a sticky, tar like material. I ended up sending the movement up to ZZ for a full overhaul, while the case was cleaned and added to my graveyard collection of souless cases...
