Trouble Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 I find that the r9 does not have the movement next to the original although it is great for the 675 bucks. Goreplica at 1300 bucks offers the 27 jewel eta movement. Question is, DOES THIS 27 jewel actually 100% resemble the movement on the yachtmaster or not? The movement of the yachtmaster is what makes it so special. how are we sure that the goreplica 27 jewel is true to the original movement? Sure they both say they are the same, but really, does anyone know, seen the goreplica and R9 side by side? http://www.watchmaker9.tv/latest_news.htm versus http://www.goreplicas.com/index.php?action=DisplayExclusive please, only serious and well versed people need to reply Thank you
anton Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 Well, the only "27 jewel" ETA movement I know of is the: ETA 7753, which is a chronograph movement, which this is NOT. Anyone who advertises this is 9/10 times a scam. WM9 I can't speak for, but what I can say is to tread carefully.
alligoat Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 Welcome to this forum, and I hope you learn a ton. Stay away from goreplicas, unless you like being ripped off! Correct, there is only one 27jewel ETA movement- the 7753. So goreplicas is full of lies! Watchmaker9 is OK, but pricey. You need to check out the noobmariner Yachtmaster- it's highly regarded. Use the search feature to check it out.
