vlydog
what do you think about this dial ? I am no expert but first let me say that your post title should read 1655 From what I have seen and heard, the small square indexes that circle the outer portion of the dial should be closer to the dial's edge. freddy333
Looks like a redial to me. Here is a close-up of an unmodified gen dial for comparison
tmg
what do you think about this dial ? Hi P, It depends what case you want to put it in. It will likely not fit in a Chinese case and as Vlydog mentioned if you put it in a correct Vietnamese case the outer indices don't touch the rehaut and that's a dead giveaway that it's a redial. I could be wrong but all the T Swiss T dials I've seen, which are the earliest 1655's all have a funky shaped coronet, often called a "frogs foot" (see below) and the standard looking coronet was on later models with the T Swiss <25 T dials. When I think that I could have picked up one of these (genuine) for $1400 back in 1994.... And that was with the original box and paperwork.
