rodwc Posted July 15, 2008 Report Share Posted July 15, 2008 Have been keeping an eye on our local stockmarket for a while now,as my super is tied into it. Since Christmas or January 2008 our ( Oz ) stockmarket has fallen to a 3 year low and lost 1800 points, thats allmost 30%. Anyone any ideas where it will bottom out? Shundi Posted July 15, 2008 Report Share Posted July 15, 2008 Well, if it's anything like the US market...you'll have people standing in line at banks to withdraw their money. (Oh yeah, that happened at another time in history...right before the Great Depression) Not necessarily a hugely depressed market, but Oil has been speculated as being the next tech/housing bubble, corn (in the US) and fuel are driving the price of everything up and the financial sector is getting screwed. From what I've read, the world markets/US market should start to turn the corner within 1-2 years but time will tell... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
