The story is great i read it a couple of years ago, he went through alot of hard work for a pretty great watch.

His work is technically correct as would be expected of an engineer though it lacks the style of an artist. The hands are just plain stupid looking and the dial is goofy. He really could have achieved a beautiful watch to with its technical correctness if he had help with the dial, hands and watch face. While technically correct the watch's look does nothing for me. It lacks a soul.

I dont even know what to say... For those of us who LOVE watches for the mechanics, that story was like heroin. I sat here for 45 minutes and could not look away from the computer screen. I guess I am oblivious to the outside world, for I had no idea that this type of work was still being done outside the major manufacturers.

Good stuff. I came across this guy about 3 months ago and forgot to post it. It's an absolutely tremendous project that one can only imagine the amount of trial and error and perserverance it took to see through to completion.
