MimiSars
I tried searching for this watch online to see how close this is to the gen. http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...products_id=541 Can anyone comment on this AP?
Watchwatcher
i have th is jules audemars from eddy, and from the pic on trusties site it looks to be the same one--if it is, it is very close to the gen. a few very minor differences in the markers and framing of the date window, but otherwise extremely gen in appearance. i had k2222 double a/r coat my crystal and that makes the very fine details of the face come out more clearly -- it's a worthwhile mod on this watch. i also acquired a 5mm sapphire cyclops for the date window, which clearly is not a feature of the gen, but made the date far more readable for me. put a high quality black croc strap on it and know one will be able to distinguish it from a gen. MimiSars
Wow you must have spent over 600 dollars on that piece! Even so, still beats the Hublots that are out.
Hok
Does anyone else own this piece? Would be interested in the size, gen is 39mm and the dealers say the rep is 36-37mm... Edited September 21, 2008 by Hok
archibald
This is a classic example of a watch that nobody will think is fake if you're the kind of guy who can wear a 12k rose gold watch, and which everyone will think is fake if you're not. The flaws (markers to the right of the date window, primarily, not to mention the rep is plated) don't matter 1/10 as much as you clothes, age, job, and comportment. (my error, really). and i was already overstretching my budget, too... Edited September 23, 2008 by Hok
