How to brush a polished SS case?

I am thinking of modifying my polished PAM SS case to brushed finish. Has anyone done it before?

Please share your idea + experience.

I did the crown guard on my PAM005 with a washing-up sponge (the ones with yellow sponge on one side and green coarse material on the other). Seriously it really works.

Hold the sponge still and move the watch over the sponge (green side) in a series of straight movements, gradually increase pressure et voila brushed SS!

3M makes green scrubber pads for kitchen and bathroom cleaning.

I fold one in half.

Then with the leading edge I use an even forward and reverse motion for a brushed finish.

I routinely touch up my watches with them.

They are called Scotchbrite pads. You can get them at hardware stores (kitchen section) or automotive places (bodywork section).
