old skool Posted August 14, 2008 Report Posted August 14, 2008 If you had to choose between these two, which would you choose? The lume on the sausage dial would initially be weaker. It would require relume and would get the vintage lume color treatment. So the question is, do you pay a lot more and get vintage sausage dial lume or a lot less and get a while sandwich dial with good lume?
Paneraibob Posted August 14, 2008 Report Posted August 14, 2008 I would go sandwich dial. The only sausage dials i like are from the 036
Ztech Posted August 14, 2008 Report Posted August 14, 2008 After my experience with both the sand and saus dials I'd go with the sandwich dial. The lume on sausage dials is dissapointing.
peepshow Posted August 14, 2008 Report Posted August 14, 2008 The only reason, IMO, to go with the sausage dial is because the shape of the numbers is more accurate. With an homage watch, this isn't a concern. Between the two watches pictured, I'd take the sandwich dial for sure.
old skool Posted August 14, 2008 Author Report Posted August 14, 2008 I have sandwich now, and originally wanted sausage...but it seems like there is no reason to change to sausage dial because it will cost more and have weak lume. What about white numbers vs vintage color numbers? Originally I wanted vintage but went with white. I LOVE the white, but maybe I would also love the vintage?
