I was simply floored when I received my IWC GST back from Ziggy with its' newly installed 2nd generation cheiftang'd crystal.

As many have posted before me, it looks like the watch has no crystal at all. (ask JoJo)

So, I thought to my self, I need to have one of my PAM crystals coated with same amazing finish.

Well, much to my surprise, I'm not sure if I like it on my 219. It has a look that is all together different from the crystal on my IWC. It is hard to explain but it does not have the

My first one is my 196 which is in process at Ziggy's...

My others I did in one of Chief's Single AR runs....

I did it on my homage piece, which is most like a PAM 177 except with a solid caseback and C1 lumed dial. Strong AR absolutely MAKES any sport utility (hey let's coin that phrase for watches too!) or tool watch IMO...

I can't say for a flat crystal, but on my RXW MM20 the double AR makes the dial look concave near the edges. I could never tell if that's because of the shape of the crystal or the AR. Always figured it was the crystal.

Yes, it will not have the same effect on a curved crystal. Even the GST is convex slightly and it has the effect to a smaller degree. The crystal must be completely flat to really give the strongest disappearing effect.
