Shasta Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 I guess I was wondering why Aspire has several new vintage Pam offerings featuring the swan neck regulated 6497/1 Vin Pam Page
Pugwash Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 I guess I was wondering why Aspire has several new vintage Pam offerings featuring the swan neck regulated 6497/1 What makes you think they're Moljina movements?
cwai02 Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 What makes you think they're Moljina movements? They are not. Not sure if the Russian Moljina in short supply, but I believe Paul is going to put the new movement in every watch he's selling.

Not sure if the Russian Moljina in short supply, but I believe Paul is going to put the new movement in every watch he's selling. Looks that way. He's got a whole page of Pams for $189 with the incorect 6497/1 swan neck movement
Pugwash Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 Looks that way. He's got a whole page of Pams for $189 with the incorect 6497/1 swan neck movement What's incorrect about it?
cwai02 Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 What's incorrect about it? Vintage and H series model with the incorrect G movement.
chris5264 Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 That is so interesting in terms of movements. I've attempted to replace several of the russian movements in pams with 6497s but found the 6497 to be a bit too thick. If you look at the movement clamps on the pics, you can tell the movement is too thick here also. Anyway, I'm not complaining, that is a great buy for under 200.
ehtolcad Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 it also baffles me why someone would want the new new new decorated swan neck super fat sword with taper movement in a non-display back model other than simply for a movement swap. that would be the only reason i'd go for one of these
