alw
Hi all, I have this Oris Artelier Complication which I bought in July but am not totally satisfied with: Now, I have the option of swapping it to a second-hand Omega Speedmaster which looks exactly like the Moonwatch but is an automatic version from 1999 (sorry, no pictures, but it looks like the Moonwatch ). ubiquitous
Which Moonwatch? The Speedy reduced? Or the new one with the 3313 co-axial? Do you have a ref number?
alw
Just handled it quickly, I
ubiquitous
Widely spaced subdials... Sounds like a Speedy Reduced...
alw
Is that a bad thing?
PAMman
An auto from 1999, which looks like the Moonwatch, must be the reduced auto Speedmaster. The running secs at 3 instead of 9 on the Speedy Pro?? In principle I would be keen to swap from an Oris to an Omega, but not the reduced Speedmaster. For me, the only Speedy is the original, solid-caseback, handwind Moonwatch. Buy a good used one and be careful not to pay over the odds and you will have a watch that will hold its value from that point onwards, but more importantly you will have a watch that you won't want to sell anyway. andreww
Nonetheless I'd prefer a reduced Omega Speedy to an Oris with faux chronos
alw
Faux? They are not faux and definitely not chronos.
