ubiquitous Posted October 8, 2008 Report Share Posted October 8, 2008 Vly- I recently experienced something similar; I cased up my 6497 and noticed it was losing a few minutes for every 6 hours. I uncased the movement to give everything a visual once over, recased again and everything is now running fine. I have a feeling that one of the plates or bridges may have had some pressure applied to the gear train or was somehow pinched, hence causing inaccurate time keeping. vlydog Posted October 11, 2008 Author Report Share Posted October 11, 2008 Update: After 12 hours of wrist time I noticed that the watch lost approximately 45 minutes. Now after being still in the watch box for the last 24 hours it appears to be keeping perfect time. So it looks like I have a problem of an intermittent nature.
