jody73 Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 Got this from a friend in 2003. He bought it in Thailand and he said it was from the top shelf and supposed to be a good rep. I had forgotten I had it until I came across this site and bought my first Carrera rep. I think the battery has stopped (not working at the moment) but when it was everything was working great. Will try to get the battery replaced. Does anyone know which model this is? Cheers
Chino Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 That's the "aviator fantasy" model... spawned from the imagination of a bored watch assembler in China probably.. those subdials were used in lots of fantasy reps, such us quartz Speedmasters, quartz tags and others. not a factory reproduction, just a pure fantasy model. And quartz movements are inmortal... Some don't like them, I can live with them as a grab 'n go watches. cheers!
chrgod Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 The caseback engravings on that one actually look quite good.. One of my first replicas, bought in Chinatown in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 2002 was somewhat like this.. Except that the subdial needles were glued to the dial..
jfreeman420 Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 Wow, that is horrible. Nice name though..........
coolfire Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 Finally, the best super rep Wow... The "Bestest", you mean!
jody73 Posted October 16, 2008 Author Report Posted October 16, 2008 Hehe:) The rep was accurate and the chrono was working, but now I know better after finding this site.
Merlin Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 looks like the "ultimate" "based on gen" "supe rep" "gen swiss eta case" model
