  1. Thanks for a great review. I think I'm going to pick this up
  2. Welcome aboard mate. You've come to a good place
  3. Velkommen ombord and prepare for a lot of reading This is a good place to start: http://www.rwg.cc/members/Hey-Noobor-NoobR...tml&hl=noob Cheers jody
  4. Check this parts reference for the answer http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=5991 Cheers jody
  5. We play Lego Indiana Jones on PSP, and we have tried a demo of Batman. But I agree, Batman is a bit to difficult (for him). Lego makes great games for kids.
  6. After testing a lot of spring bars which I was not happy with (the rubber strap would not stay tight to the case/the spring bars became bent) I ended up ordering genuine spring bars for the 45 mm with rubber strap from ofrei. Now I'm happy with it and I get a tight fit. I suppose it would be easier to go to an AD and buy them (just leave the watch at home)
  7. I think it is a very accurate rep. I bought the gen rubber strap and I'm very happy with that. It is currently sent away for repairs as it just stopped one day. Hope I get it back soon
  8. Playing LEGO Star Wars series with my son on the PS3. Great fun
  9. When I first joined this site and got my first rep, I bought a cheap 30$ tool set for removing links and spring bars etc. After changing two spring bars and removing one link the tools were ruined. Pretty useless. I then bought a Bergeon spring bar tool and what had been difficult spring bars became so simple. So I figured when I decided on learning more about disassembly/reassembly that the tools would be half the job. Thanks a lot for your inputs guys. Much appreciated! Will send you a PM Offshore
  10. My ordered tools have arrived and I just need the movement (in mail) and I'm ready to start the TimeZone Watch School part 1 Considering these tools, which is just for the most basic disassembly/reassembly, cost me about 390$ delivered at my house it is clear that this is not a cheap hobby The tools for part 2 will be of equal cost. In addition this shows me once again how expensive everything actually is in Norway! Hopefully though these tools will last since they are supposed to be of high quality. In addition I might save some $ when I hopefully in the future will be able to service my own movements.
  11. Welcome aboard mate Be sure to check out the guide from Toadtorrent: "Toad's Guide to Surviving the Rep World" http://www.rwg.cc/members/Hey-Noobor-NoobR...tml&hl=noob Don't know anything about louis vuitton, but check out our recommended dealers and I'm sure you'll find something. Cheers jody

  13. Welcome aboard mate. You have a lot of reading ahead of you if you are interested
  14. Welcome aboard to another Norwegian You have come to the right place! My experience with customs in Norway is that if the watch is stopped yoy have to pay VAT (+ 25% on price) based on the value that the seller has stated on the package. Cheers jody
  15. Thanks for your comments guys Based on the TimeZone Toolkit I have ordered the same tools from a local supplier. About 90% of the tools are identical, the rest should be of equal quality. I hope that getting Bergeon tools, means quality tools and that they will serve me well for many years. Because they are not cheap! The price of getting it locally is basically the same as importing it from the USA. But if anything is not working, it should it is easier to complain face to face Now I just need to get hold of a 2801-2 movement and I'll be ready to start on the course Cheers jody
  16. Love your review! Thanks a lot. I'm currently saving to get a gen myself
  17. Thanks for a great review. Well explained and nice pictures Cheers jody
  18. Thanks for the info! This was very nice and I am tempted. This is now included in my wish list
  19. I've had the same problems. Took it to a watchmaker after I had messed up one of the pins (had spare on spare link) and he helped me:)
  20. Thanks for the input offshore I have not found a decent place to get quality tools in Norway. So when buying tools on the net from a different country I have to consider the postage and VAT as well. I have purchased a few tools from Germany, but the postage was almost as high as the price of the tools. By getting the package I think I might save some on the postage and I do not have to spend a lot of time searching the net in order to find a cheaper site. So unless anyone says that they know a site where I can get the same tools much cheaper I think I'll go ahead. Cheers jody
  21. Hi, Planning on starting the Timezone Watch School. The easy way to get the necessary tools from the beginning is to order the Timezone Level 1 Toolkit. http://www.tztoolshop.com/page131.htmlBergeon I am just uncertain if it is worth spending $326.00 on this one. Can I get the same quality tools (Bergeon or equal) cheaper anywhere else? Thoughts and suggestions appreciated Cheers jody
  22. Great review with lovely pictures. Thanks a lot Cheers jody
  23. Since you are in Europe, have a look at http://www.watch-tool.de/ as well. I have ordered a few tools from them, and it was fast and easy. Ofrei charges a lot to send to Europe.
