I have a eta sub. It needed new o ring around the crown, so I took the back off and pressed the release button to get he crown off. Everything went smoothly until I tried to put the crown back, and it will not stay in. Looks like the release button is stuck. Is there anything I can do?????

Thank Eddie.

I don't know exactly how you're putting it back, but here's The Zigmeister's tip:

"On a 2836 type, you DON"T press the stem release pin, it's only used on release. Insert the crown and stem all the while TURNING it as you insert it, otherwise you may knock the clutch gear out of place, as you insert it, turn the crown in the winding direction and when you feel and see the movement winding (Rotor Removed of course, so as to not damage the cluck wheels) continue to turn the crown as you finish inserting the stem and it will lock in position."

Hope that helps and thank The ZigmeisterZumba/Rob for the Tip!

Any replica friendly watchmaker will be able to fix it for $5... if they charge you anything.

Call around your local area and see.

hope your right. with the economy going they way it is, I can't afford to fix my rep.

I found a tutorial by BAZZ, but it looks like it way out of my league.

Hi darkside!

I have the same problem and I'm thinking of trying this my self, although it is an A7750 movement. Do you have a link to this tutorial? I can't seem to find it.
