I was just about to send a watch to The Zigmeister for lume and such... and I realized that my base PAM dial has a texture to it... is there anything that can be done to either remove or alleviate the texture? Paint can't cover up underlying texture, you have to eliminate the texture first and then clear coat it, and that is not always possible, especially around the numerals and lettering... I'll send you a pic later on when I get home if it's ok.... but off-hand, if DSN's T Swiss T dial was a 3 in terms of texture (out of 10), then this dial is like a 4.5... RWG Technical Posted November 6, 2008 Report Share Posted November 6, 2008 I have managed to salvage similar finished dials, careful sanding and then clear matt coating with no orange peel should fix it, no promises as you know how this stuff can go, but I will do my best...
