pubus Posted July 19, 2006 Report Share Posted July 19, 2006 Well it occured that the screws I got with my 111h after a couple of months become somehow damaged and they werent holding the cg tight. So I decided toay to visit all my local watchmakers to see if they can get these screws for me. Unlucky none could help me. All of them were admiring the rep btw and one didnt noticed it was a rep, he even told me that it will be hard to find these 'ORIGINAL' sg screws I askerd him quickly if he could do a waterresistance test on my pam as its rep. He was very very suprised and asked 'THIS WATCH???!?!' so I quess our pams really look close. Anyway back to the main point. I was seeking rwg and didnt find any solutions, my dealer still havent reply my email. Is there a way to source cg screws or the whole CG as mine came bit not tightly fitting the case?? pubus Posted July 22, 2006 Author Report Share Posted July 22, 2006 ok so i visited many eyeglass shops, many shops with screws nails etc talked to many ppl and wel... nobody helped me I have to check one point more where a guy that repairs photo cameras might have a screws like that I was offered a help from davidsenjpn which I thank for very much and my dealer offered me a set of new crown and crews for 38usd shipped. A watchmaker would simply make you the screws that you nreed. It really isn't difficult - for a man with the appropriate skills My man takes the view that he is a "watchmaker". This means that if he needs a part, rather than take the time and trouble to order the part... he'll sit down and make it. He's a watchmaker. Fully apprenticed... awesomely experienced. The trouble is.. he prefers working on clocks. The older the better. More of a challenge... spares just are not available... so he has to make every part that he needs. This is the man who made the clock (actually an orrery) that appeared in "Tomb Raider". The bill for that one was in excess of £80,000. When this man speaks... I shut up and listen. I'd love to be a fly on the wall with him and The Zigmeister in the same room... PMs requesting his address details wll not be responded to. It has taken me great deal of effort to get him to show some grudging respect for my reps. I'm not having some loudmouth newbie spoiling that for me. Sorry. But you can do what I did... find your own man. He is out there... and closer than you think. Let your fingers do the walking.
