chronoluvvv
being that I'm scheduled to leave my lovely South-Central for RainLand early next year I thought it'd be fitting to go exploring my environs. Lord knows when I'll get the chance again if @ all I do. Living in the suburbs has dulled my edge anyway. Since i'm usually the one to scare easy, i thought it fair to enlist the services of Mr Malibuss to escort me Parked @ the flat rate overhead lot next to the Golden Arches and sauntered Southwards. Most of the vendors were operating @ 1/3rd strength since they were raided the past weekend. But some still had a few wares on display. And they were usually on guard @ their very door, looking out for the first signs of trouble or enforcement. About the goods, I think its safe to say 1/2 of them are fantasy models but its still fun to to gaze @ the eye candy nonetheless. The rest is divided between quartz chrono reps & faux chrono automatics. Their prices are not any higher than what is available in the Collectors section. A few noteworthy specimens ... FM Crazy Hours but without the crazy hours, go figure ! Omega SMPs (both QoS and 007 seconds hand) but the choices for ladies Omegas were FAR superior than their gents' counterparts PAM Ferrari Rattrapante (?) in rose gold but the case finishing and overall garishness put me off, could be remedied a Chopard GT XL (non-chrono) seemed worthwhile PAM Daylight chronos with decent cases and crystals but festooned by skinny crowns B&R and Graham chronos also merit a special mention but I haven't read up on either to comment much honestly Big Bangs (a coupla Luna Rossa's) too Before parting I did inquire with a couple of vendors about securing a decent working 7750 Daylight chrono and their asking prices were the same as the usual suspects, only difference is this would be a local pick-up and save me the headaches of shipping from overseas. I must say I am rather tempted to order one the next time I visit them. Cheers !
