Japanese Translation Required

I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to tell me which (if any) of the following kanji and hiragana most accurately translate the Japanese equivelent of the English word 'patches'. Ie, if translating the sentance "Those are patches of color." what word would be used to mean 'patches'? I've done some research and come up with some possibilities, such as tsugi, but I don't know if it can be used to refer to 'more than one patch' in the same way as the English word 'patches' does. If anyone could confirm or further my own translations, it would be much appreciated. Domo arigato ^_^
