Mercury
I have heard many bad things about the CHS GMT II, but good things about the WHS GMT II. I am kinda puzzled by this. I am looking at Josh's site and both have a modified 2836-2, so what's the difference? Thanks
Shundi
Extra gearing and bastardization is required to make a CHS movement and that unnatural modification causes problems. The WHS modification is much less unusual and requires only one or two extra parts (I believe a "Step down" mechanism to have the GMT hand turn at 1/2 the speed of the hour hand) where the CHS model requires significantly more modification. Mercury
Thanks for the reply, another noob question. GMT will keep track of another time zone correct? So I would set that hand, say, four hours behind the hour hand to keep track of Seattle?

Mercury
So I have narrowed it down to two, the GMT II Coke WHS, and the Explorer II (Black Probably). I am waiting till this college semester ends to get one, so I got plenty of time to decide which is best and right now, I have no idea. Any help? Mercury
I have decided to go ahead and pick up the GMT II, but my eye isn't good enough to tell one from another. Is the one from Josh accurate to the gen or am I better off going with a place like eurotimez.
