stampede
Hi everyone I'm a noob here so be gentle Just picked up my first rep from a member called dominion. I'm very impressed with how much watch I've got for my money, it really does look almost identical to the ones in my local jeweller's window costing over

stampede
Lol sorry, it's an Omega Speedmaster Sorry I don't know how to copy the pictures over but there are some photos of it in this for-sale thread: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=87772
fauxlex
I thought most Omegas used pins, but I have heard of some reps using screws. If your watch has screws on one side, it's as easy as unscrewing them. If they are pins, you'll have to get a pin remover or take it to a jeweler. Also, don't worry too much about taking it to a jeweler(as long as it's not an authorized Omega dealer). I took a couple of my Omegas to a local jewelry store, both had some glaring errors, and he thought they were gen. Mine both had small pins which were a little too much for me to deal with. I recommend a Cape Cod polishing cloth to get out fine scratches and swirls. I don't know what to do about the loose chrono hand. You might have to find someone local that services asian movements(assuming it's not quartz). Anyway, congratulations, and wear it well!
stampede
Thanks for the reply, where can I get one of these cloths? This one is a quartz movement - does that make it any easier?
fauxlex
You can get Cape Cod cloths from any jeweler supplier. I got mine through Amazon. Being a quartz movement, it makes troubleshooting easier. The hand probably just came loose from the post. If it doesn't run and it bothers you, take it to a jeweler, but if it's a faux chrono, I wouldn't bother.
