clkcadet Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 I just received my SSD V2 from a reputable dealer on our forum. Now it looks a little different from the one on his site. The first thing that bothered me is that the HE valve is a titanium color is this accurate? Also the thickness of the case does not look accurate... it looks like an ordinary Submariner case with a HE valve in it. On the site it says accurate thickness (14.5mm) but I am not sure if this is the case itself, or the bezel and caseback included. I am posting pics for you to look at and please advise if this is correct. For comparison purposes I took side to side shots with my Gen Daytona. Any opinions are greatly appreciated! Is it about the same thickness of a submariners case (bezel and caseback included)? I do not have a gen sea dweller to match with but most pics show a much larger case. This is what is bothering me the most!

Chicken Manny Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 The major difference in thickness between the two is in the caseback and crystal. About an inch thicker each. If the case is thicker it isn't by much. <1mm

clkcadet Posted January 1, 2009 Author Report Posted January 1, 2009 Clockmakers site (hacko) says case thickness should be 14mm and the sub is 13mm... I knew it didn't look right but if everyone says their ssd v2 is the same I guess its 1:1
