  1. Freitco? Looks like a freight shipping company to me which seems VERY strange and suspicious. I HOPE the person is CONUS, otherwise I wouldn't touch it.
  2. Looks nice... I may need to add a white 1680 as well.
  3. Bump- Still looking guys... InGod44 doesn't have anymore for sale. Right now I'm thinking Cannibalize a PT 1665 unless one of you can help me.
  4. What version was it to start with? I thought on the current noob ones the only real thing BK changes is the DW overlay, other than that he just does minor inspection and QC things?
  5. Does KB have a site or just his scetion on here? I browsed through some of his threads, it does seem like comparing apples and oranges for example diystorm has spyder jackets for $35 while KB's are ~$175, personally I can find Gens on sale or closeout cheaper than KB's reps. I don't doubt that his supply is good but at what cost... He seems not even in the same league price wise.
  6. I thought the Gen tube was a direct replacement on UPO's, I never heard of bushing being required. Are you 100& sure on that? I'm ordering a Gen tube for my incoming UPO this week.
  7. Looks great double AR on these works wonders! I have a double AR'd UPO on a Gen rubber strap coming, it'll get a Gen Crown and Tube installed asap. not sure I can get myself to spend the money for the dial and hands though.
  8. Unfortunately ingod doesn't seem to have those GWSD dials at that price. As an aside does the Ingod dial have good lume? So far: I've picked up a Gen 703 crown ($32) ordered a crown tube and spring bars from Yuki ($15) Clark Tudor hands from eBay ($14) Clark Tropic 39 (Rolex Service Crystal Profile $27) Have a replacement ETA movement from a more than generous member. (Free) and she's currently enroute to JMB to have the lugs drilled and hopefully the crystal installed. *I've yet to order but plan on getting a lume pearl from Ofrei as well ($20) So the GWSD dial is the last thing missing well and possibly a better datewheel overlay. Down the road I'd love to buy or piece together a Gen bracelet as funds become available.
  9. He said the Bracelet was Yuki so this one: http://www.yukiwatch.com/catalog/item/6784664/8082246.htm How's the quality of the bracelet? is it worth the $135?
  10. Very nice! Is the case a WM9?
  11. That does look great! We need a steady source for these. Was the watch or bracelet $445? Where did the bracelet come from?
  12. Are all the sizes pretty true to Gen? I wear a Medium in most things with 32" waist and have been thinking about placing a large order, I'd just hate to get everything and have it all be too small.
  13. She's a beaut! I'm currently waiting on an identical one on Gen rubber to make its way to me from Singapore. Can't wait till it gets here!
  14. Still on the hunt for a GWSD dial guys, any help is appreciated! @Ronin- Where did you get the service crystal? -Zack
  15. Does it have Gen like Bezel construction or the plastic retainer ring?
  16. Thanks guys. Having the slow beat isn't a huge deal to me plus I would rather not deal with potential date wheel/overlay issues. That being the case I should probably just stick with an ETA service and an MBW GWSD dial swap. I'm waiting on a member who has that dial to PM me, if I could get it soon I have a guy who can service it and do a vintage lume for me, send it the JMB for lugs drilled, and follow up down the road with the T39, tube, and crown.
  17. So I need help figuring my best course of action. I have an Older MBW 1665 DRSD which I've been aging over the past few weeks which has made a world of difference. I had several MBW's in the past and regrettably sold some real gems... Luckily I stumbled across this one and seek to redeem myself. There are two issues. First I would much prefer a GWSD to the DRSD Second the movement in mine is near death and in serious need of a full service or replacement (hard to start, loses several minutes a day, etc). My options as I best see it are: Buy a used MBW GWSD dial, from a member or eBay, and send it and the watch out for a full service/dial swap. ~$150-$200, sell the DRSD and maybe recoup some. This would yield me a fully serviced movement and nice MBW dial but faster beat and incorrect DW. Buy a PT GWSD and swap the movement and dial right into the MBW case and call it a day. $220 and recoup a few bucks selling the case. I believe the dials aren't as nice and I've heard questionable things about the movements. Yet this could be a quick DIY fix and I hear the bracelets and end-links are decent. Ultimately I CANNOT afford to drop much money into the watch and if I were smart I would abandon the project(poor law student). I'm looking to do either of the above, a Gen 703 Crown, aftermarket tube, Clark T39, Drilled lugs from JMB, and Vintage pearl. I.E. sink no more than an extra $300 into it. So what would you experts advise and why? I have a feeling no matter how careful I am this may quickly become a money pit
  18. I believe the 703's are too big they're for the Subs and SD's at 7mm. I think the EXP II is substantially thinner.
  19. Did you remove the dial from the movement to bake it or just de-case it?
  20. Look over on RWI, they're a trusted dealer and it's a promo they're running. Great deals!
  21. Thanks guys! I also have my DRSD dial for sale when the swap is done. @FlyingWedge- Please send them when you can along with a price @Ronin- That's the look I'm going for, albeit a bit more age to mine. Yours is a beaut!
  22. I'd really love to convert my 1665 DRSD to a GWSD. I've been trolling the for sale section and posted a wanted listing but no luck as of yet. Does anyone know of a dealer who sells just the dial? Or perhaps an equivalent dial which would line up and mount correctly? Thanks!
