William Campbell Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 Is this a good replica? What about the movement. I'm new at this. Thanks in advance. http://www.jpc8118.com/jl00111-duometre-rg...ime-p-5506.html
Samurai Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 Mate....there isn't any JLC that is very close to the gen. This one looks nice and the good part is that has the Jeweller's/gold marking on the case back. The rotor also is specially designed and looks very cool...the gen is made of solid gold. The dial seems to be well made and having two time zones is a plus. All in all...I would say....a decent watch for the price....as long as you don't start comparing nitty gritties with the gen. And you can't go wrong with Joshua Cheers
Corgi Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 "Is this a good replica?" I'll be gentle (otherwise I would use profanity and lots of exclamation marks) and say that I've seen many JLCs in person and this one is a far cry from the gens. I wouldn't buy this rep, sorry.

Agreed...it's very cool looking but if you had seen the gen in passing once or twice you could easily ID it as a rep...nice watch though
Bossart Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 I have a couple of JL's - and whilst they are quite nice reps they only have what I would call a "family resemblance" to the gens. But each of them is actually not a bad watch - and as somebody else said - You usually get reasonable watch from Josh. This one seems a liitle clumsy perhaps, but I've seen a lot worse!
drop Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 JLC RDM is a reasonably close rep at a good price. I think the most glaring tell is the red tip on the seconds hand...
nemesis Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 Are Perfect Clones and Trusty Time both owned by Josh? They seem to have the same offers and other similarities. If so, why have two separate websites for the same thing?

Do you think that the average person could tell this is a rep?
